This is a love story about a girl who moved away from home and met a boy.

But not just any boy.

He was intelligent. Wore shirts and suits. He used to chain-smoke from the balcony while listening to Beatles, Santigold, or Led Zeppelin. He had the voice of a rock singer and the hand of an artist. He said all the right things. But his eyes only saw himself mirrored in hers.

This is the story of a girl who broke up with a boy even though it broke her heart.

But not just her heart.

It broke her mind, her soul, her self esteem. She spent nights crying and days trying to pull herself together. She created routines just to be able to stay focused on the next day, the next hour, the next minute. She learnt to breathe again. Walk again. Run again. And when she was able to run, she couldn't stop. The pain in her lungs forced the pain in her heart away. She became stronger with every step.

This is the story of a girl who broke up with her old self in order to become stronger.

But not just physically.

She moved again. Started over again. But she kept running. Running kept her legs strong and head clear. She fell in love again, but thanks to running, she was able to stay on her feet and not lose her balance. She became stronger every day. Built herself up. One day, she ran 10 k without stopping. And it wasn't even for some guy. It was all for herself.

This is a love story.

About running.
